• All Open Canvas content, textual, visual and graphic material, is copyright protected. It cannot be replicated, reproduced or shared. 
• Open Canvas is a merit-based, independent organization with no University affiliations or tie-ups and does not guarantee or promote admissions to any specific schools.

Nature of Service

• As a part of our service, every student is provided with an online portal.  All their information and plans are regularly updated here.  Parents and students are expected to view this regularly.  An individual schedule will be laid out for you from the point of starting until you leave for college. 
• Open Canvas does not permit you to share your username and password with anyone. The user account is only for the student’s use. 
• All our work is conducted through one-on-one online meetings.

Process

• All meetings, sessions and editing are done online; you will not be required to travel/visit our offices and can avail of this service from any location worldwide. 
• Only Word and Excel formats will be accepted on our platforms.
• We do not write essays for students. Open Canvas will help with brainstorming and editing of all the essays.
• We do not fill in application forms. However we will help answer all the questions within the application form, and review it prior to submission.
• We do not fill in visa related forms on behalf of students. We also do not help with post admission college paperwork.  
• While Open Canvas will keep in touch with our students at college and beyond, parents are expected to pay for any future follow up meetings if they need college level concerns addressed.

Consulting Fees Payment

• Open Canvas requires prompt, full payment upfront before services begin.  Consulting will only commence once full payment has been received. No part-payments/instalments are permitted.
• All fees are non-refundable, non-transferable, and non-adjustable.  All liability for actual payments (e.g. Standardized test prep, test registration, visa etc) is to be borne by the applicant.
• Our charges exclude any bank/transfer/credit card fees. Open Canvas will not bear any bank charges/transfer fees.
• Goods and Services Tax (GST) will be applicable on all payments made within India at 18%.
• All standalone services are valid for a period of three months from the date of purchase.
• Counselling packages (4 session package/one year package) are valid for 15 months, from the date of purchase.
• All application packages are valid till the end of the application cycle in which the student is applying. Year of application package will be mentioned on the invoice.

Student & Parent Responsibilities

• Parents and students are expected to be on time for the pre-allocated appointments (confirmed via email).  The meetings will be conducted via Zoom or G-Meet.  Please do not expect the meeting to extend beyond the allocated time if you are late for a meeting.  
• We expect clear and consistent communication from your side.  All questions / concerns must be communicated via email or during the online meeting.  Students are expected to follow the advice provided to the best of their ability and update Open Canvas on all progress.  
• Merely attending meetings will not get the student to the college of their dreams.  The student is responsible for working towards the implementation of suggestions and scoring the grades suggested by Open Canvas. 

Meeting Cancellation & Rescheduling

• If you are unable to attend a scheduled (online) meeting, please let us know at least 48 hours in advance.  In case of cancellations, please note it may take us at least 1 week to reschedule a cancelled meeting.
• If a meeting is cancelled within 24 hours of the scheduled session time or if the student does not show up for the meeting, the session will be considered done.
